This past Saturday while I was visiting my best friends I was given the chance to watch a great, yet, untouted football game televised on ESPN. It was the weekend before the launching of the more-publicized and larger football colleges like Ohio State and Alabama. The game I watched pitted No. 1 and 4-time NCAA Division 2 national champions, North Dakota State vs. University of Montana (and a sentimental favorite of mine because I lived in Great Falls, Montana for 10 years and followed this school's fantastic football and basketball programs through those life-learning years of mine). Montana won this exciting football game 37-35 in the final seconds in front of a record-setting crowd at Montana's Grizzly Stadium in Missoula of 26,472. It was for sure exhilarating for all its fans and teammates to win this game against some insurmountable odds - but the Griz did. In the background of this humble yet honorable stadium one could see the landscape of Montana's beauty and peacefulness in its magnificent buttes, wildgrasses, huge cattle and horse farms, and a skyline as immense as the hearts of these football players who never quit but endured, adapted, and overcame. Perhaps, this year all of college football will be just as heroic and exciting to watch live or on the television networks or just listening on radio. Hoo-ah!
